Welcome to Homer Glen Open MRI
We use only Hitachi AIRIS® II machines.
The Hitachi AIRIS® II provides state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging capabilities. The AIRIS II has a number of unique benefits and features:
Clinical Advantages-- Complete array of RF coils imaging technique protocols for superb resolution and tissue contrast in: Brain and orbit applications Spine applications Musculoskeletal applications Abdomen/pelvis applications Chest and cardiac applications Magnetic resonance angiography for those patients needing evaluation of the intracranial circulation, carotid arteries, renal arteries, etc.
Accommodates motion imaging in the patient’s position of pain (e.g., shoulder imaging with the patient’s shoulder abducted, or cervical spine imaging with the spine imaged in flexion and extension). Can perform breast imaging for evaluation of possible breast augmentation implant rupture with the patient lying supine, rather than in the prone position as required by other scanners. Allows scanning of acute patients, including critical care patients needing airway management. Allows studies on larger patients where MRI may not previously have been an option, due to accommodation of their size. Patient Advantages--
The AIRIS® II has a new concept magnet design, which is completely open on both sides as well as the front and back. The unique Open-Air design provides greater patient comfort during scanning and helps to minimize claustrophobic effect. Soft-Sound™ gradients which aid in minimizing patient anxiety. Soft-Touch™ coils for patient comfort. The patient-oriented AIRIS® II system provides a comfortable environment during magnetic resonance imaging examinations. The large gantry opening allows constant and direct access to the patient by both the operator and a family member. The AIRIS® II system, featuring an "award-winning" open gantry design and high performance clinical capabilities, helps patients feel at ease during an MRI examination. Welcom to Homer Glen Open MRI.
